FINE HAMPTON FLINTLOCK SHOTGUN. NSN. 18 ga. 30” ribbed bbls. Marked “HAMPTON” on both lockplates. This is a late (Circa 1810) flintlock shotgun with roller springs for the frizzen. The straight walnut stock is checkered at the wrist and has blank silver-plated thumb piece. The ramrod has a brass tip and an iron worm. The iron fittings are lightly engraved except for the tailpipe which is plain. CONDITION: Brown patina overall with some signs of cleaning. Stock has been repaired between the triggerguard and forearm tip and has been refinished in that area. There are dents and scratches on the butt portion of the stock.
