WINCHESTER MODEL 1883 3RD MODEL HOTCHKISS MUSKET. Cal. 45-70. No serial number visible. Standard musket with 28” rnd bbl, square base front sight/bayonet lug with ski jump, musket style, rear sight and 2-pc straight grain, uncheckered, American walnut stock & forearm with smooth steel musket buttplate. CONDITION: Fine to very fine, as completely restored. Bbl retains most of its bright custom blue with some fine pitting on sides. Receiver & triggerguard retain bright custom case colors. Wood is sound with some rust damage around receiver & buttplate with nicks, dings and a few small gouges with some filled spots in buttstock. Mechanics are fine, bright shiny bore.
