*MARLIN MODEL’94 DELUXE TAKEDOWN RIFLE. SN 347252. Cal .25-20 M. Part rnd 24″ bbl with Sheard brass blade front sight Marble’s express rear sight. Top flat of bbl marked “MARLIN FIRE-ARMS CO. NEW-HAVEN, CT.U.S.A./PATENTED.OCT. 11, 1887. APRIL 2, 1889 AUGUST 1 1893.” 2/3 length mag, standard takedown receiver with medium-length locking cam. Lyman no. 1 combination tang sight. S-shaped steel buttplate. Classic S-shaped pistol grip stock and forend of straight grain American walnut with style-A checkering. PROVENANCE: Richard Rohal Estate Collection. CONDITION: Good. Bbl and mag tube have good blue mixing with patina. Action has light case colors in protected areas with balance turning a model brown patina. Buttplate has patina with surface corrosion sound stock and forend. Good finish and normal handling marks. Checkering show some wear and flattened diamonds. Dark pitted bore.
