ENGLISH REGENCY CARVED MAHOGANY BRACKET CLOCK RETAILED BY BIGELOW, KENNARD & CO. Of classical architectural form the pitched roof with carved tiles, the cornice mounted with an ormolu ribbon-tied mask above the fluted frieze with ormolu rosettes flanked by ormolu masks above engaged Corinthian columns centering the silvered and embossed gilt dial with Arabic chapter ring and strike dial, chime dial, and tempo dial. The whole raised on a stepped molded plinth. The brass movement with 8 bells and 5 gongs. PROVENANCE: From a private Leominster, MA collector. SIZE: 21” h x 14” w x 11-1/2” d.
