PATENT MODELS: LOT OF 4. 1) Springs For Tilting Chairs By Henry Hawson. Assigned to Kilburn Mfg. Co., Philadelphia. Nearly illegible patent tag #216,779, dated Aug. 15, 1878. Brass hinge mechanism with braided cable on round wooden base. Indicated to have the top half missing. SIZE: 4″ l. x 4″ t. CONDITION: Generally very good. 2) Ink Well By J. Baldwin. Original patent tag #244,786, dated July 26, 1881. Tin drum with side opening. Includes two flat tin pieces attached. SIZE: 1 1/2″ t. x 1 1/2″ diam. CONDITION: Generally good. 3) Sash Lock By D.P. Lacey & J.A. Bartlett. Original patent tag #57,733, dated Sept. 4, 1866. Brass lock in need of assembly. Engraved with inventors’ names with “Sash Lock, Orfordville, Miss.” SIZE: 3 1/2″ w. x 2″ h. x 1/4″ d. CONDITION: Very good. 4) Apparatus For Desecating & Bleaching Cane Juice By M. Landry. Original patent tag #117,787, dated Aug. 8, 1871. This cylindrical tin boiler model has bracket at top for holding pulley. SIZE: 3 3/4″ t. x 2″ diam. CONDITION: Pulley is detached, but present. Small split at spout and minor surface rust to metal surface, otherwise good. 1-1388, 1-1449, 1-1462, 1-1472 (300-500)
