GERMAN MODEL 71 BOLT ACTION MILITARY CARBINE. Cal. 11mm Mauser. Scarce carbine with 20” oct to round bbl, barleycorn front sight with short carbine rear sight. Usual markings, dated on right side 1876. Single bbl band missing the swivel with a buttstock swivel and smooth steel buttplate. SN 6179B. CONDITION: Good to very good. Appears to be all matching, missing the rear sight blade and retains a bright finish under a very heavy coating of old fireplace soot and smoke. Wood is sound and retains most of a sanded refinish.
