*SPECIAL ORDER MARLIN MODEL 94 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. SN 445879. Cal .38-40. Special order 30″ part rnd bbl with Lyman No. B front sight and Rocky Mountain rear sight. Marked on top flat of bbl “MARLIN FIRE-ARMS CO. NEW-HAVEN. CT. U.S.A./ PATENTED OCT. 11, 1887. APRIL 2, 1889. AUGUST 1, 1893.” Button magazine. Standard receiver with top tang marked “Marlin/MODEL MODEL 94”. Standard straight grip stock and rifle forend of straight grain American walnut with S-shaped steel buttplate. PROVENANCE: Richard Rohal Estate Collection. CONDITION: Good overall. Strong bbl blue mixing with patina. Receiver has traces of case colors in protected areas mixing with an overall patina. Buttplate has patina finish with light pitting at heel and toe. sound refinished stock and forend with normal handling marks. Sound mechanics and good bore. 4-40398 DS36 (3,000-5,000)
