*RARE MAUSER KKW FULL MILITARY TRAINING RIFLE. Cal. 22 LR. SN 1542. Beautiful little German military trainer with 26” tapered rnd bbl, made to perfectly resemble the standard 98K military rifle in virtually every respect including sights, stock & sling with cleaning rod through the front band/bayonet lug. Receiver has the usual markings with eagle “N” proofs with other proofs on the bbl. Accompanied by an orig 98 Mauser bayonet with matching numbered metal sheath. CONDITION: Very fine, all matching. Metal retains 95-96% strong, bright, orig blue with sharp edge wear and some thinning on front receiver ring & bolt handle. Wood is sound with usual handling & use nicks & scratches with a series of dings on bottom of butt. Mechanics are crisp, bright shiny bore. Bayonet is extremely fine retaining virtually all of its orig finish with some frog wear on the sheath. 4-31195 JR461 (1,500-2,500)
