SPRINGFIELD MODEL 1884 SADDLERING CARBINE. Cal. 45/70. SN 379554. 22” rnd bbl. Standard markings on lockplate and breechblock. “SWP” cartouche dated 1887. Headless shell extractor and two-piece ramrod are under trapdoor in buttplate. CONDITION: Blue/brown patina overall with traces of orig blue. Wood has numerous dents and scratches with some signs of cleaning and two gouges to rear of sling ring bar. Action is fine. Bore is lightly pitted. Edwards Collection 4-58491 (800-1,600)
