SMITH & WESSON NEW MODEL #3 SINGLE ACTION REVOLVER. Cal. Appears to be 44 Russian. SN 7879. Blued finish with 6-1/2″ keyhole bbl, pinned half moon front sight and diamond checkered walnut round butt grips. CONDITION: Very fine, all matching including the grips. The bbl retains 85-90% strong bright original blue. The frame and sideplate retain about 75% strong original blue. The back strap is original blue turning plum and the front strap and butt retain about 90% original blue. The cylinder is a blue/brown patina on the outer perimeter with bright blue in the flutes and one area of light to moderate pitting. Mechanics are crisp, bright shiny bore with scattered moderate pitting. 4-53477 JR872 (2,500-4,000)
