*RARE MAUSER 147-CODE BOLT ACTION MILITARY RIFLE. Cal. 8 mm Mauser. SN 8257i. Standard 98 Mauser with “1940” chamber date and eagle/swastika on left side with three Waffenampt proofs on receiver ring & various parts. Buttstock has a variety of Waffenampts with an eagle “H” stamp. Left side of the rear sight sleeve is stamped “GERMANY”. It has a removable dust cover and cleaning rod with an orig leather sling. Accompanied by an orig bayonet with steel scabbard. CONDITION: Very fine, all matching including the smallest parts. Overall retains about 95% strong, bright, orig, commercial style blue with about a 1/4” band of flaking on front edge of receiver ring with light wear elsewhere. Laminated stock is sound showing moderate wear. Sling is soft & supple with some dark staining. Mechanics are fine, bright shiny bore. Bayonet retains about 85% blue on the blade with a dull sheath. 4-31194 JR460 (800-1,200)
