ALTERED WINCHESTER MODEL 1873 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 38 WCF (38-40). SN 236582. Standard grade rifle with bbl reduced to 20”, magazine cut to 3/4 length, uncheckered wood with straight stock and crescent buttplate with trap. It has a replacement front sight and 3-leaf carbine rear sight with broken blade. It also has a single set trigger. CONDITION: Fair to good, as noted. Bbl and magazine tube retain about 50% original blue. Receiver about 70% blue and the wood most of a severely sanded refinish. Trigger needs adjustment. Bore is strong with light rust. 4-51238 JR1078 (400-600)
