PATENT MODELS: LOT OF 3. 1) Horseshoe By Mark S. Roberts. Original patent tag (slightly rough shape) #107,789, dated Sept. 14, 1875. Iron horseshoe with clamps to affix shoe. Shoe has conical cleats on bottom for rugged terrain. SIZE: 5″ l. x 4 1/4″ w. CONDITION: Very good with the exception of one replaced cleat. 2) Spring Draft Or Tug Links By J.F. Miller. Original patent tag #224,210, dated Feb. 3, 1880. Brass model with cast iron coil around outside. SIZE: 5 1/2″ l. CONDITION: Near excellent. 3) Guard Straps For Shafts & Strap Couplings By James Weatherhead. Original patent tag #169,068, dated Oct. 19, 1875. Possibly same family as today’s Weatherhead fittings. Steel and leather couplings. SIZE: 7″ l overall. CONDITION: Leather is hardened and crackling somewhat, steel is very good. 1-1511, 1-1470, 1-1306 (400-600)
