ALTERED MERWIN & HULBERT 3RD MODEL POCKET ARMY SINGLE ACTION REVOLVER. Cal 44 WCF. SN unknown. Nickel finish with bbl reduced to 5 3/16”, homemade front sight with the integral lanyard ring, and skull cracker ground from the butt, which also eliminated the serial number. The assembly number 3276. It has top strap with conventional fluted cylinder and birdhead grip with hard rubber grip panels. CONDITION: Fair, as noted. 25-30% original nickel remains with the balance light patina and light pitting. Sideplate is dinged and damaged. Grips are chipped and worn. Mechanics are loose, the bore strong with moderate pitting. 4-51271 JR14 (400-700)
