*RARE D.M. LEFEVER & SONS 9F GRADE BOXLOCK SIDE-BY-SIDE SHOTGUN. SN 1566. Cal. 12 ga. 30″ Krupp Fluid Steel bbls with tapered, matted, concave rib, dual brass sighting beads, 2-5/8″ chambers, MOD / FULL chokes, dbl triggers & ejectors. Top of right bbl marked “KRUPP”, left bbl “FLUID STEEL”. Boxlock receiver has circle of foliate scroll on both sides of receiver, pins with floral design border around each, 8-pointed star on each side forward part of receiver, trigger plate with scroll borders engraved “D.M. LEFEVER / & / SONS / CO / PAT’D 1902″. Top tang mounted with coarse knurled roller safety. Mounted with nicely streaked walnut, checkered pistol grip, sculpted hard rubber grip cap, brown Decelerator recoil pad, checkered splinter forend with ebony tip insert & coarse knurled roller release. Bore diameter: left -.747, right -.746. Bore restrictions: left -.018, right -.022. Wall thickness: left -.033, right -.030. Drop at heel: 2-1/2″, drop at comb: 1-1/2″. Weight: 7 lbs. 13 oz. LOP 14-5/8”. CONDITION: Fine. Bbls retain most of fine professional quality restored blue finish. Receiver is mostly a silver/gray patina, darker in protected areas. Trigger plate has 50-60% orig blue mixed with silver patina & slightly battered screws. Stock is sound with fine repointed checkering, a few light handling marks & retains most of a fine hand-rubbed oil finish. Forend is solid with nicely repointed checkering, a few minor nicks & dings & a fine hand-rubbed oil finish.
