*FINE LEFEVER HE GRADE SIDE-BY-SIDE SHOTGUN. SN 32052. Cal. 12 ga. 30″ Damascus bbls, tapered, matted rib with sgl brass sighting bead, 2-9/16″ chambers, IMP-CYL / MOD, dbl triggers & ejectors. The non-engraved receiver is marked “LEFEVER ARMS CO.” on each side plate. Mounted with straight grain walnut & checkered pistol grip, with sculpted hard rubber grip cap and monogrammed, checkered hard rubber butt plate. Checkered splinter forend with steel forend tip & centered hard rubber disc. Bore diameter: left -.738, right -.738. Bore restrictions: left -.023, right -.013. Wall thickness: left -.039, right -.042. Drop at heel: 2-7/8″, drop at comb: 1-3/4″. Weight: 7 lbs. 8 oz. LOP 14″. PROVENANCE: The David Herrmann Collection. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbls retain extremely strong Damascus pattern with only a couple minor spots of oxidation. Receiver retains 75-80% case coloring with silvering across bottom & sharp edges. Trigger guard has some visible color across bow & silvered through grip area. Stock is solid with only minor nicks & dings and some darkening around upper & lower tang, and retains a lovely hand-worn patina finish; the rear 3″ of stock slightly lighter colored than forward, presumably due to the protection of a slip-on recoil pad. Checkering is good, butt plate has a minor chip at toe. Forend is solid with a couple of minor chips on sharp edge & moderately worn checkering, and retains a dark hand-worn patina finish. Mechanics are crisp with strong ejectors, bores are bright with only some minor scattered pitting. 4-35264 BDT10 (1,000-1,500)
