*EXTREMELY RARE LEFEVER ARMS CO. CE GRADE SIDE-BY-SIDE SHOTGUN. SN 58638. Cal. 12 ga. 26″ Krupp Steel bbls with tapered, matted rib with dual ivory sighting beads, 2-3/4″ chambers, CYL / CYL chokes, gold-plated dbl triggers & ejectors. Top of right bbl marked “LEFEVER ARMS CO. / KRUPP” and left “STEEL / SYRACUSE. N.Y. U.S.A.”. Lower side of each bbl has sculpted & border-engraved bolster. The C grade receiver has circle-dot border around side plates & “LEFEVER ARMS CO.” on forward end, oval & 2 pointing setters with split-rail fence in background on left plate, and 2 pointers on point with rolling hill background on right. Bottom receiver has burst of fine foliate arabesque scroll & a variety of border engraving around screw & bbl lug. Trigger guard has circle-dot border & oval with 2 flying ducks. Mounted with colorful “streaky” walnut with Buffalo horn dropper points behind side plates, checkered straight grip, Silvers recoil pad with 1/4″ black spacer, silver initial shield, checkered splinter forend with engraved metal tip & engraved lever release. Bore diameter: left -.730, right -.732. Bore restrictions: left -.000, right -.000. Wall thickness: left -.025, right -.018. Drop at heel: 2-1/2″, drop at comb: 1-1/2″. Weight: 6 lbs. 5 oz. LOP 14-1/8″. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbls retain all of extremely fine professional restored blue. Receiver has 85-90% strong orig case colors, thinning & blending with silver patina across bottom. Trigger guard has 70% orig blue, thinning on edges & blended with silver & gray patina through grip area. Stock is sound with good checkering, a few minor handling marks & retains fine hand-rubbed finish. Forend is solid with good checkering, silver patina metal & fine hand-worn patina finish.
