1ST MODEL MERWIN & HULBERT OPEN TOP REVOLVER. Cal. appears to be 44 M&H. SN 2985. Nickel finish with 7” bbl, integral pinched front sight, open top with scooped flute cylinder and rare red & black mottled hard rubber grips and scarce humpback hammer. CONDITION: Fair to good. All matching including the grips. Retains 15-20% original nickel overall, worn but legible bbl legends, mechanics are fine but full cock is touchy. Cylinder has a couple of battered spots with slightly battered screws on the frame. Grips have chipped heels and show moderate to heavy wear, otherwise are intact. Locking bolt and loading gate screws are replacements. Very worn, dark bore. 4-51264 JR7 (500-1,000)
