TIFFANY & CO. GRANDFATHER CLOCK.

TIFFANY & CO. GRANDFATHER CLOCK. Magnificent Tiffany Flemish-style grandfather clock has beautifully carved oak case attributed to R. J. Horner & Co. The outstanding case is elaborately carved with a lower panel being a high relief tavern scene with nice openwork carving decorating the door of the clock and still exposing the brass pendulum. The face is flanked by two carved figures of musicians playing flutes. The sides of the case are done in heavily grained quarter-sawn oak. The clock has wonderful silvered dial with brass filigree and moon phase dial above. The face is marked “Tiffany & Co.”. The movement is a three-weight driven movement with five tube Westminster chime, the works are marked on the back “JJE England”, presumably for J.J. Elliot Ltd of London. The back of the face as well as the mounting board for the movement are numbered “10090”. SIZE: 8′ 6-1/2″ h. CONDITION: Very good to excellent. 5-67635 (20,000-40,000)
