18TH-CENTURY DUTCH PINE PEWTER CUPBOARD. The molded cornice joined to the conforming dovetailed case having two open shelves with molded plate racks joined by scalloped supports, mortised to the lower case having a mid-molding and fitted with a central paneled door flanked by canted raised panel sides above a molded plinth, raised on shaped supports. SIZE: 64″ h. x 33-1/2″ w. x 18-3/4″ d. CONDITION: Retains old dark surfaces and hardware. Of dovetail, mortise, and tenon construction, the piece may have originated in a corner against a wall as only two of the three exposed sides are finished. The central support is a later replacement, the back supports are a continuation of the sides. A nice pleasing small example with good old patina. 9-92345 (1,500-2,500)
