PATENT MODEL: BALLOT BOX BY J. POWELL. Original patent tag #213,733, dated March 11, 1879. Wooden hinged ballot box with slot at top. When ballot is submitted, a button is pushed, allowing lowering of ballot into box and a bell is struck and ballot is registered with counter. Paper directions pinned to outside. SIZE: 8″ w. x 10 1/2″ t. x 8″ d. CONDITION: Minor wood splinters, otherwise very good. 1-1372 (400-600)
