*WINCHESTER M1 GARAND SEMI-AUTO MILITARY RIFLE. Cal. 30-06. SN 244886A. (Suffix “A” making it a scarcer version.) Standard Garand configuration with 24” tapered rnd bbl, 1-pc walnut stock & walnut handguards. Stock has the “WRA” and “GHD” cartouche with a small ordnance wheel on left side and “P” proof back of triggerguard. All visible parts & trigger group are Winchester, including bbl. The op-rod and gas cyl were not checked. Accompanied by its orig Civilian Marksmanship Program shipping box. CONDITION: Very fine. Retains virtually all of its fine arsenal restored finish with crisp, clean parkerizing on metal and smooth oil finish on wood. Mechanics are crisp, bright shiny bore.
