Cal. 20 ga. 1st set of bbls are 30″ London Steel tapered, matted concave rib with single brass sighting bead with 3″ chambers, FULL/FULL chokes, double triggers and ejectors. Chamber area of right bbl marked “L.C. Smith Ideal Grade”. Left bbl marked “Hunter Arms Co. M’F’R’R’ Fulton, N.Y.” 2nd set of bbls are 26″ London Steel tapered, matted concave rib with single brass sighting bead with 2-3/4″ chambers, IMP-CYL/MOD chokes and ejectors. Standard Ideal Grade engraving with bold leafy scroll and shaded background on each lockplate and minimal accenting scroll on remaining areas. Mounted with straight grain walnut, checkered pistol grip with checkered hard rubber gripcap, void of buttplate. Checkered splintered forend with ebony tip insert for each set of bbls. Set 1 with banjo style release, set 2 with elongated oval. Set 1 – Bore diameter: left – .613, right – .613. Bore restrictions: left – .023, right – .023. Wall thickness: left – .029, right – .030. Drop at heel: 2-1/2″, drop at comb: 1-1/2″. Weight: 6 lbs. 5 oz. LOP 13-1/2″. Set 2 – Bore diameter: left – .614, right – .615. Bore restrictions: left – .013, right – .002. CONDITION: Fine. 1st set bbls retain 85-95% blue with thinning through forend area, slight muzzle wear, minor wear at chambers, some thinning on left bbl 10″ from muzzle, some minor thinning on right bbl 2″ from muzzle. 2nd set of bbls retain 95% blue with minor muzzle wear, minor chamber wear, a few minor nicks and scratches. Receiver shows 20% original case colors, mostly in protected areas, with balance a silver patina. Stock is sound with minor crack behind top tang, characteristic nicks and scrapes, a couple small dents, some chipping in buttplate area, small chip at gripcap, slightly flat checkering, traces of varnish with a hand worn patina finish. Forend for 1st set of bbls is sound with usual nicks and scratches, minor hairline crack on right side, retains some varnish with a hand worn patina finish. 2nd forend is sound with a few minor scrapes and dents, retains most of its varnish finish with some slight wear on the bottom. Mechanics are crisp with three position safety, strong ejectors. Bores of 30″ bbls are shiny with some scattered pitting. 26″ bbls have bright and shiny bores.
