FREDERICK M. FENETTY (American, 1854-1915) VIOLETS. Oil on canvas still life scene shows a bouquet of purple violets in a green glass bowl with gold feet. All against a mottled mint green background. Signed lower right. Housed in what appears to be its original fancy gilt frame which is marked with a label “From the Fine Arts Rooms, Jordan March, Co. Boston”. Stretcher having an “Arthur W. Hubbard” framing label and an older red and white decal with pencil inscription “No 26 Violets”. SIZE: 10″ x 12″. CONDITION: Very good. 9-98828 (1,500-2,500)
