*MATCH QUALITY MARINE CORPS ARMORER BUILT M1 GARAND SEMI-AUTO RIFLE. Cal. 30-06. SN 4298043. Built by Gunnery Sgt. David Clark, a Rifle Team Equipment Armorer of the Precision Weapons Shop, Marine Corps Base, Quantico, VA. It is built to National Match specifications with a Douglas competition bbl, National Match grade, by Gary Barnett. It has a 24” blued bbl marked “4GR 1 10 30 06 5 01 / 3 A5T CC”. Obviously these numbers mean that the bbl is four grooves with one in ten twist, in caliber 30-06, built May of 2001. The other numbers are unknown. It has National Match front sight, op rod & rear sight and is glass bedded in a new commercial walnut stock with new hand guards and a new military sling. CONDITION: Appears to be unfired since being built retaining virtually all of its blue on bbl and restored parkerizing to the balance of metal. Wood has a fine oil finish. Crisp mechanics, shiny bore. Sling is new. 4-30995 JR529 (2,500-3,500)
