*COLT MODEL 1911 U.S. ARMY. SN 96398. Cal. 45. 5” rnd bbl. The magazine, bbl, and some internal parts are replaced. The gun has been re-Parkerized and the backstrap checkered. An accompanying tag reads “G.I. loaned to Lt. Brown June 10, 1942. Guadalcanal”. CONDITION: Retains about 90% of the new Parkerized finish, worn at the muzzle and thinning at the grip straps. Grips have scratches, nicks, and are worn at the base. Bore is bright. Mechanically fine. From the Collection of the late Barney Frost. 4-53555-73 FS251 (800-1,500)
