24″, (61 CM), CHINA DOLL, CIRCA 1860. Glazed porcelain shoulder head with molded and painted features, separately molded upper eyelid with red eyeliner, slightly smiling mouth, with the hair parted in the center and drawn back tightly covering the ears and arranged into a tight bun in back held together by a comb, also painted black. She is on a nicely made reproduction stuffed muslin body with white leather arms. She has been elegantly costumed in a two-piece mauve silk dress with narrow waist and with ties in the back of the jacket. The shoes are also newer green leather slippers with lime green rosettes, and she also has a hat that matches the dress. CONDITION: Excellent. 1-7212 RS (400-800)
