*MARLIN DELUXE MODEL 1894 TAKEDOWN RIFLE. SN 173565. Cal .25-20 M. Part rnd 24″ bbl has Beaches combination front sight and Lyman folding blade rear sight. Top bbl flat is marked “MARLIN FIRE-ARMS CO. NEW-HAVEN. CT. U.S.A. / PATENTED. OCT. 11, 1887. APRIL 2, 1889. AUGUST 1, 1893.” 2/3 length magazine. Pistol grip take-down receiver with medium length locking cam. Lyman #15 wind gauge. Top of receiver is marked “MARLIN SAFETY”. Classic S-shaped pistol grip and hard rubber buttplate. Stock and forearm have style-A checkering. CONDITION: Fine. Bbl has 90% blue with light edge wear and handling marks. The action has 90% strong case colors with thinning in the high wear areas. Sound stock and forearm with very good finish and normal handling marks. Mechanics are crisp and bore has strong rifling with some darkening in the grooves. 4-40910 DS21 (4,500-6,500)
