FULL BOX U.S. CARTRIDGE CO. CARTRIDGES FOR COLT RICHARDS CONVERSION. Cal 44. Full, sealed box with yellow label and black lettering. It is marked “Central Fire Metallic Cartridges for Colt’s New Breech-Loading Army Revolver”. Has a Kraft colored band with black lettering marked on the ends “Calibre: 44 Colt’s Army Pistol” and on the left side “Solid Head Re-Loading Cartridges Colt’ Army Pistol Patented December 17, 1872”. CONDITION: About very good. Three or four bug bites out of the label and a couple of worn spots but all of the lettering and the picture are legible. Label has faded to a dark mustard color. Band is mostly intact with a taped corner and is soiled and stained with all the lettering intact. An extremely rare box seldom seen. 4-50388 JR407 (1,000-2,000)
