GROUND KEEPERS CANE. 38-1/4″ long with 24″ steel sawblade which folds into the shaft. The body of the cane has been carved to emphasize the knots. It is marked “BRIGGS / LONDON”. The blade is not quite long enough to meet the hook at the end of the crook, probably due to a straightening over the years. There is cracking at the two knots on the grip portion indicating that this has happened. There is a sliding brass catch for the blade. CONDITION: Light surface rust on the blade. Cracks as noted in the cane. 4-51298 FS470 (400-650)
