RARE HIRES ROOTBEER 3-D DIE-CUT SIGN. Adorable image of young boy and girl are used to promote Hires “Home-Made Rootbeer”, captioned “Puts Roses in Your Cheeks”. Label on the rootbeer bottle they are holding reads “Homemade Rootbeer”. This cardboard display consists of three pieces; the main circular portion with the boy and girl, a hinged 3-D section with die-cut arms, bottle and drinking glass, and a third lower 3-D shelf section. This is another exceptionally rare Hires advertisement not previously seen before, copyright 1914, Charles E. Hires Co., Phila., PA. SIZE: 18-1/2″ dia. CONDITION: Overall very good; shelf section has a few tears and small paper loss, would be significantly enhanced with light restoration; cardboard loss to perimeter edge at 3 o’clock. 1-11183 (3,000-5,000)
