UNSIGNED (American, 19th Century) LANDSCAPE WITH HOUSE AND COWS. Outstanding oil on canvas scene shows a three-story Colonial house with an attached building. There is a fenced yard and a rain barrel at end of gutter, a stream with grass and flower banks in foreground and water is seen next to two cows grazing. A bright sun is seen reflecting on horizon with sky colors of purple to very light blue. Housed in a fine Hudson River style gilt gesso decorated replacement frame. SIZE: 14” x 24”.
