*SCARCE SIG MODEL JP226 125TH YEAR ANNIVERSARY SEMI-AUTO PISTOL WITH CASE. SN JP2997. Cal. 9mm. Special blue finish with gold highlights including gold plated trigger, magazine release, de-cocking lever, slide release and hammer. Slide is marked on left side in gold filled numbers & letters “125 JAHRE WAFFEN 1860-1985” with the “SIG” logo in the middle. Lower on the left side of the slide, in gold filled letters “MADE IN SWITZERLAND”. Right side of slide forward of ejection port in gold filled letters is “SIG SAUER JP226” and the SN on slide is also gold filled. Right side of slide, just below ejection port is laser etched “SIG ARMS INC / HERNDON-VA”. Mounted with 2-pc walnut grips that are deep hand carved in foliate arabesque patterns with stippled background. Accompanied by its orig burgundy leather covered, hinged lid box with the Sig logo on the lid and a 3-wheel combination lock on front. It is lined with fawn colored suede French fitted in bottom for the pistol. There is a black lettered brass plaque in left front corner with about the same information is as on the pistol. Also accompanied by a notarized statement dated Aug. 23, 2010, from Robert Carradine, brother of David Carradine, certifying that “This Sig Sauer JP226, serial number JP2997, is the 125th Anniversary Jubilee Limited Edition crafted in Switzerland in 1985. It was a gift to David from the Charlton Heston Celebrity(sic) Shoot in 1993 and comes with a leather case.” PROVENANCE: From the private collection of the late actor, David Carradine. CONDITION: New & unfired. Retains virtually all of its orig factory finish with crisp strong blue & bright gold accents. Grips are equally new. Box is also new. 4-40812 JR257 (1,000-1,500)
