UNIDENTIFIED TIP UP RIFLE/SHOTGUN. NSN. Cal. 40. 16 ga. 32” oct bbl. Mechanism is similar to the Stevens, with bbl release push button on right side of frame instead of left. A single extractor, which operates on both bbls, is pivoted on right side of frame. Pistol grip stock is checkered at wrist. There is no forearm. Back action locks mounted on each side. Front sight has German silver blade. Rear sight is a standard semi-buckhorn. Rifle buttplate. Cal. of bbl has not been determined, but appears to be a 38/56. CONDITION: About 60% of orig brown finish is mixed with gray/brown patina with wear on edges and widely scattered specks of surface rust. Wood is fine with minor handling marks.
