DAINTY PERCUSSION UNDERHAMMER RIFLE. NSN. 36 Cal. 24-1/2” part oct bbl. There are no markings on this rifle. The hammer completely surrounds the trigger. The German silver side opening patchbox is engraved with a running buck. The other German silver mounts have matching engravings which is repeated on the two iron tangs. The opening button for the matchbox is in a short escutcheon on the column of the stock. The ramrod is missing. CONDITION: Gray patina mixed with light to moderate pitting overall. Bbl has been blown at the rear and repaired with brazing. Wood has been cleaned. Mechanically good. Wm. Hancock Collection 4-58602 FS710 (800-1,200)
