ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: It has been brought to our attention that this gun is not a genuine M1 Garand National Match Rifle as manufactured by International Harvester. It is assembled from component parts and stamped to represent a USMC Rifle Team item. However, we do guarantee that the item is indeed from the private collection of the late actor, David Carradine, as stated in the catalog.

*RARE USMC INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER M1 GARAND NATIONAL MATCH RIFLE. SN 4535072. Cal. 30-06. Fine National Match rifle in usual configuration with 24″ tapered rnd bbl, National Match sights and National Match marked gas cyl, op rod & “5-57” dated International Harvester bbl. All internal & external visible parts are by Harvester. Mounted in a fine orig walnut stock with crisp rectangular “RIA / EC” cartouche on left side with a crisp Ordnance wheel. Stock has the “P” proof on front of grip and left side of buttstock is stamped “NM-5072-USMC / RIFLE-TEAM” with an Ordnance bomb symbol. The number “5072” is the last four digits of SN. Accompanied by three Garand clips. Also accompanied by a notarized statement dated Aug. 23, 2010, from Robert Carradine, brother of David Carradine, certifying that “This 1956 International Harvester National Match M1 Garand, serial number 4535072, is from the Marine Corps Rifle Team. When I showed it to David he had to have it because he trained with the M1 in the Army.” PROVENANCE: From the private collection of the late actor, David Carradine. CONDITION: Extremely fine plus, all matching. Overall retains virtually all of its fine restored arsenal gray/green Parkerized finish on metal and fine oil finish on wood. Stock & hand guards have a very few, very minor handling & storage marks. Mechanics are crisp, bright shiny bore with some minor roughness in the grooves. 4-40806 JR263 (2,500-3,500)
