The base fitted with a carved walnut plug with removable wooden screw plug. There are two distinct scenes depicted along the shaft of this large horn. Both are high-relief, dramatic carvings. The second high-profile image titled “LANDING OF MILES STANDISH IN 1623 AT WEYMOUTH”. Depicts 5 armed pilgrims, some with sabers and wheelocks and others with just wheelocks, marching forward.
