*MARTIALLY MARKED COLT BULLS-EYE MATCH TARGET WOODSMAN PISTOL. Cal. 22 LR. SN MT14482. WWII production military pistol with 6-5/8” flat side bbl with adjustable sights and original extended checkered brown plastic grips. The left side of the bbl has the usual bulls-eye target and “Match Target” and on the frame “U.S. Property”. The right side of the frame has a flaming bomb with the inspector initials “G.H.D.” It is accompanied by an all blue woodsman magazine, not a Match Target magazine. The serial number is located properly on the front strap. It is accompanied by a Kraft colored 2-pc box with an original owner’s pamphlet and a scarce hangtag instructions for the Stevens adjustable rear sight. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbl & frame retain most of their original bright factory finish with minor edge wear. Slide appears to have been restored as the lettering and rampant colt are thin and it is a slightly different color. Grips are extremely fine, bright shiny bore. 4-51845 JR543 (600-1,000)
