*NAZI G98 RIFLE W/BAYONET. With 27 code over the 1939 date on the chamber. SN 2784l matching except bolt head, safety, and release. Cal. 8 mm. 24” rnd bbl. Eagle swastika and eagle 280 codes on bbl, receiver, floorplate, trigger guard, bbl bands, and buttplate. The laminated stock is not marked. The 10” single fuller blade of the bayonet is marked “F.W.HOLLER” on the left ricasso, “1849 / b” on the right. There are two eagle “WaA253” Waffenampt proofs on the pommel. The scabbard is marked in script “Elite – Diamant / 39” on the rear and “7007 / b” on the front. CONDITION: 80% blue with some touch up on the bbl and action. Mostly gray patina elsewhere. Stock has been cleaned and shows minor handling marks. Bayonet blade is bright; the exterior has considerable surface rust. Bore is evenly pitted.
