FINE GROUP OF CZECHOSLOVAKIAN RUBY OVERLAY TABLEWARES. Third quarter 19th century. Comprising a pair of covered canisters, a sherry decanter with six matching stems, a ewer with clear handle, a flattened gourd form decanter, cut-to-clear, and a tapered cylindrical decanter, all with etched motifs depicting deer and castle, alternating with scrolling decorations and cartouches. Together with eight etched ruby juice glasses, a faceted goblet, and a large cut-to-clear ruby vase of similar design. SIZE: Each canister: 9-1/2″ h. Gourd decanter: 11-3/4″ h. Large decanter: 14″ h. Juices: each 3″ h. Vase: 11-3/4″ h. PROVENANCE: From a fine southern Maine collection. CONDITION: Repair to handle of ewer, chips to faceted goblet, small rim chip to sherry decanter.
