*COLT 3RD GENERATION SHERIFF’S MODEL SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVER. SN SA69643. Cal. 45 Colt. Blue & color case hardened with 3″ bbl, full front sight and 2-line address with Model numberon left side and caliber marking on right side. Left side of black powder frame has 3-line patent dates and is mounted with fine 2-pc, gold medallion, ivory grips numbered to this revolver. Accompanied by its orig Custom Shop box with hand lettered end flap. SN was observed on the bottom of the frame and left side of the front & back straps under the grip. Last four digits of SN are stamped around the bushing hole on face of cyl and the caliber is stamped on rear face of cylinder. Also accompanied by a notarized statement dated Aug. 23, 2010, from Robert Carradine, brother of David Carradine, certifying that “This Colt Single Action Army, serial number SA69643, is a Sheriff’s Model I gave to David to replace his coveted Colt that he lost from his TV series ‘Shane'”. PROVENANCE: From the private collection of the late actor, David Carradine. CONDITION: Appears to be new, unfired & unturned, all matching including grips.
