APPLIED & DECORATED SCHNEIDER FOOTED VASE. Wonderful Schneider vase done in the manner of Moser has light blue vertically ribbed body with three dimensional applied beetle and bumblebee with enameled floral decoration framing the insects. The leaves on the white flowers are applied creating a three dimensional image. Backside of the vase is enameled with a very simple design of green and brown enameled grasses. Signed on the underside in red enamel “D.2297 Schneider”. SIZE: 6-1/2″ t x 9-3/4″ w. PROVENANCE: From a private Midwest Collection. CONDITION: Very good with one tiny flake to underside of foot and some minor wear to gilding on lip. 5-64267 (1,000-1,500)
