AMERICAN CAST PATINATED METAL AND ONYX BANQUET LAMP. Second half 19th century. The Rococo Revival base with a pierced scrolling font above an onyx standard with cast capital and base, raised on scrolling cast shell feet, mounted with a clear glass chimney within an opaque ball shade paint-decorated with flowers. SIZE: 22″ h. of base. 8-3/4″ h. of shade. PROVENANCE: From an extensive private Gulf Coast collection. CONDITION: Base with original surfaces. The lamp drilled and converted to electricity.
