*WINCHESTER MODEL 1897 TRENCH GUN W/BAYONET & HAND GUARD. SN 678585. Cal. 12 ga. 20-1/2” rnd bbl. Marked “US” on the right side of the frame ahead of the chamber. The hand guard is marked “PAT.APL.FOR”. The Remington bayonet is dated 1916 and has a French scabbard. CONDITION: Traces of blue mostly under the hand guard, which is also a smooth gray patina mixed with light pitting and surface rust. Bayonet is heavily pitted and the stock is broken at the wrist & repaired. With heavy scuffs and scratches. Mechanically very stiff.
