*SMITH & WESSON 3RD MODEL 44 HAND EJECTOR DA REVOLVER. Cal. 44 Spcl. SN S63098. Blue finish, 5-screw frame, 6-1/2” bbl, integral half moon front sight, standard trigger & hammer, diamond checkered medallion magna grips with a lanyard loop in the butt through the first number of the serial number. The lanyard loop was a factory installation as the serial number is stamped on the left side of the grip frame under the grip. Accompanied by a Smith & Wesson letter identifying this revolver and indicates it was shipped Oct. 3, 1946 with 50 identical units. CONDITION: About fine. Retains 90-92% original finish with moderate holster wear. Grips are sound showing heavy wear. Crisp mechanics & bright shiny bore. 4-51648 JR637 (300-500)
