*SCARCE SMITH & WESSON 1ST MODEL 44 HAND EJECTOR TRIPLE LOCK DA REVOLVER. Cal. 44 Spcl. SN 6191. Nickel finish, 5” bbl, integral half moon front sight, groove rear sight, smooth trigger, with narrow hammer. It is fitted with real pearl grips with raised carved steer head on the right side with ruby eyes. The right eye ruby is missing. CONDITION: Very fine. Retains most of a wonderful restored finish, so good it almost passes as factory. Appears unfired or at least having been fired very little with excellent mechanics and bright shiny bore. Left side of the frame, under the grips, has heavy rust pitting that extends around to the front strap and there is some lighter pitting on the right side of the grip frame with a few scattered spots on the sideplate & frame. Grips, except for the missing ruby, are extremely fine. 4-51843 JR595 (750-1,250)
