*SMITH & WESSON 1ST MODEL HAND EJECTOR TRIPLELOCK REVOLVER. Cal. 44 Spcl. SN 13883. Nickel finish, 6-1/2” bbl, integral half moon front sight, groove rear sight, standard trigger & hammer with diamond checkered gold medallion walnut grips. Accompanied by a Smith & Wesson letter identifying this revolver and indicating shipment on Dec. 7, 1917 to J.L. Galef Co., New York City. CONDITION: Very fine. All matching including grips. Retains about 93-95% strong bright original nickel with minor edge wear and some flaking on the sideplate, the right side of the frame, cylinder and ejector rod housing. Crisp mechanics; strong bright bore with scattered light pitting. Grips are worn but fine. 4-51820 JR663 (1,250-1,750)
