PAIR OF MOSER DECORATED & APPLIED DECANTERS. Exceptional pair of Moser decanters are decorated with heavy applied grape leaves, stems and clusters against a shaded amberina background. The decanters are further decorated with heavily applied and enameled birds as well as brightly enameled grape leaves and insects. Each ewer is finished with an applied gilded rigaree around the neck as well as an applied gilded handle. Each decanter is topped with a matching hollow blown amber stopper. Each decanter is numbered on the underside “2467” and one decanter carries the remnants of an original Moser paper label. SIZE: 14-1/2″ t. PROVENANCE: From a private Midwest Collection. CONDITION: Very good to excellent with typical light roughness to some points of applied decoration and minor wear to gilding. 5-64253 (5,000-7,000)
