MOSER DECORATED WATER SET. Lovely set includes a pitcher, two tumblers and a tray all done in amberina with the pitcher having an applied three dimensional bird on the shoulder beneath the spout. The bulbous body pitcher has pinched sides and allover decoration of brightly colored oak leaves and applied acorns. Pitcher is finished with an applied reeded handle with gold gilding. Each tumbler has matching enameled oak leaf decoration with a flying insect on front and back of tumbler. The tray has the enameled oak and applied acorn decoration around the edge with a gilded snowflake decoration in the center. Each piece is finished with a gilded rim. Pitcher is signed “8230 D.180 Moser”. Each tumbler is signed “Moser 2716 D.180”. The tray is unsigned. SIZE: Tray is 14-1/2″ l. Pitcher is 7-1/4″ t. Tumblers are 3-3/4″ t. PROVENANCE: From a private Midwest Collection. CONDITION: Very good to excellent with some minor wear to gilding on edges. 5-64269 (3,000-4,000)
