TWO FANCY FRENCH FRICTION TOYS. The first being a farmer with his wheelbarrow, the second being a lady pulling a small “goods” wagon. Both with a flashed japanned-type finish highlighted in red and blue paints. A string is wound around the pulley and when pulled, this causes the flywheel to spin and the toy to move forward. The lady, when moving forward, has a series of four legs to give a simulated walking motion. The woman is marked, “R F DEPOSE”, no markings on farmer. SIZE: 5” l (each). CONDITION: Slight oxidation to finish on both toys, one leg missing on lady. JL 1-4408 (250-300)
